Your online magazine is just what I was looking for: easy access – it couldn’t be easier – to some of the best Caribbean stories and poems being written today, no matter where. I also look forward to your future selections of ‘golden oldies’; so much of our best writing from bygone times has disappeared from print. CLR James’ essay on Rohan Kanhai in your sample issue is a gem; I wonder if my father read it when it first appeared, back in ‘65. He would have loved it if he did.
Lastly, as a Jamaican domiciled in Toronto, I found quite heartwarming your magazine’s implicit reminder that we, the writers from and of the Caribbean, are a ‘virtual’ community, no matter how scattered the loci of our ‘real’ lives. Sign me up; and thank you for CWT.
