Submissions
Caribbean Writing Today invites submissions for publication of poems, stories, memoirs and book reviews. Long short stories, memoirs or reviews may on occasion be accepted, but in the main we’re looking for a word-count of not more than 6,000 words.
Submissions should be emailed to submissions@caribbeanwritingtoday.com, along with:
1) a short bio
2) a clear colour photo [not more than 1 MB, please!]
Caribbean Writing Today will be in touch within 30 days if we decide to publish your submission. Regrettably, material cannot be returned; nor will we be able to acknowledge unsuitable submissions.
Caribbean Writing Today purchases one-time publication rights only. Authors retain copyright, including republication rights, to their work.
Caribbean Writing Today will consider any submission to include an implicit affirmation by the author that s/he holds the copyright to the work being submitted, and has obtained the necessary permissions and releases from any other author/s quoted in it.
Caribbean Writing Today also affirms that where a poem or story includes a character or characters derived from real life who may conceivably be recognisable to the reader, the author is primarily responsible for ensuring that such a poem or story contains nothing of a libellous or defamatory nature. |
